20HP EuroRack version of the Bean Jelly desktop synth.
Has the same core, same IO but the XOR and looping has changed slightly.
Everything is possible on the euro version as the desktop, but the controls have been simplified.
2x VCO's with individual Pulse and Triangle outputs + PWM combined output, crossmodulation and 1V/Oct tracking.
1x VCF with sweep and resonance, LowPass, HighPass, and BandPass outputs + switchable pre filter gain boost.
1x Rungholter Tanz Randomizer output, pre patched to VCO's + VCF with depth controls, also has 3x 5V Gate outputs, plus looping or infinite modes.
3x CV inputs with Depth Control (2x VCO + VCF).
Internal Clock + 1x External Clock input.
External Audio input and Internal Audio disconnect (has a little VCO bleed).
XOR input and XOR output.
Looping with loop offset control.
19x 3.5mm jacks
3x Super cool flashing LED's
So, what can you do with this thing? Well it's good as 2x VCO tracking 1V/Oct over 2 - 5 octaves, depending on calibration, both go from LFO rates up to ear peircing screeches. Also has a VCF that's normalled to the Oscillators as Audio or CV and accepts Ext input too. The Tri and Pulse outs of the VCOs can be used as modulation or clock sources. The rungler ouput can be used as a clocked semirandom CV source, as a proto sequencer, or as a clocked looping or random modulation source. The rungler Gate out can be used as 3x clocked random gates, or clocked 3x looping gates - perfect for random percussion. The VCO's are also normalled to the rungler and can be used as a CV source to change the pitch, or if it's being used as a clock it will de-linearize the time base. You can use it as a complex oscillator, or to make percussion sounds, squelchy filter synth, wild noise, phat mono or duo synths, sequence random percussion, crossmod the VCO's and maybe much many more stuff and things.
Power Requirements:
Eurorack power: 2x5 IDC
+12V 75mA
-12V 50mA
Depth = 30mm (with power plug)
This module originally followed Benjolin architecture. It's had an absolute ton of development and mods over the last few years, and will continue to be improved (filter outs are next on the todo list). Credit to Rob Hordijk for the original design and inspiration.
Fantastic demo video from Bribery's Production House.
